Incumbent North Grundy Supervisor Carroll Branham officially received the Party’s nomination on May 27, 2006, to seek the post of supervisor in the special election on November 7, 2006. Delegates from the North Grundy and Slate Precincts nominated Branham by acclamation. The Board of Supervisors appointed Branham to serve until the special election in November after the tragic death of Supervisor Joe Keene. Branham recently retired from the Buchanan County School System where he served as principal of Grundy High School.
