Former Senator Bob Kerrey from Nebraska will attend the rally at Grundy High School on November 5, 2006, at 1:00 p.m. with Congressman Rick Boucher and U.S. Senate candidate Jim Webb. Although we are disappointed that Governor Kaine and former Governor Mark Warner cannot attend the rally, we are excited that Senator Kerrey will be visiting our county on behalf of our candidates. UMWA President Cecil Roberts still plans to attend the rally. With Senator Kerrey and Roberts as keynote speakers, we can certainly expect an exciting rally as we approach election day.
Join the Buchanan County Democratic Committee for its traditional Sunday rally before Election Day on November 5, 2006, at 1:00 p.m. at Grundy High School in Grundy, Virginia to support our candidates for office. Congressman Rick Boucher, James “Carroll” Branham, Board of Supervisors, and James “Jim” Webb, candidate for U.S. Senate will attend the rally. Special guests include Governor Tim Kaine, Cecil Roberts, UMWA President, State Senator Phillip Puckett, Delegate Dan Bowling, and our local elected officials. After we hear from our candidates and special guests, lunch will be served for all present compliments of the Buchanan County Democratic Committee.
