DELEGATES SELECT DEMOCRATIC TICKET FOR NOVEMBER 6, 2007 GENERAL ELECTION
Delegates for the Buchanan County Democratic Convention convened on June 2, 2007, and selected a full slate of experienced candidates for each constitutional office and magisterial district for the general election on November 6, 2007. The Convention officers seated a total of two hundred thirty-nine (239) delegates who cast ballots for Sheriff and Circuit Court Clerk. The constitutional offices of Treasurer, Commonwealth’s Attorney, and Commissioner of Revenue had only one pre-filed candidate for consideration. The Democratic candidates for constitutional office are seated above from left to right: Bill Keene, Treasurer; Sheila Tolliver, Commonwealth’s Attorney; Jay Rife, Commissioner of Revenue; Beverly Tiller, Circuit Court Clerk; and Randy Ashby, Sheriff. The Democratic candidates selected by the Convention for Board of Supervisors are standing from left to right: Carroll Branham, North Grundy; Trey Adkins, Knox; Berlin Viers, Garden; Janie Owens, South Grundy; William P. Harris, Hurricane; Frankie Landreth, Rocklick; and Steve O’Quinn, Prater.
